High Ridge Printing & Copy Center offers several options when it comes to binding programs, reports, booklets, manuals and catalogs. Our most popular are:
Stitched Booklets – ideal for projects with a smaller number of pages, we can collate, staple and fold loose sheets into finished booklets. Standard sizes of 8.5” x 11” and 5.5” x 8.5” are the most cost-effective options, but we can also accommodate special size requests.
Comb Binding – often referred to as ‘plastic-comb or spiral-comb’ binding, this is a good choice for projects with higher page counts. With spiral sizes ranging from 3/16” to 2”, comb binding can accommodate anywhere from 10 to 400 sheets of 20lb. paper. Combs are available in a variety of colors to coordinate with your design and we can also provide custom printed, plain and/or clear acetate covers to complete your project.
– which is known by various names including spiral coil, plastic coil and spiral binding, is similar to comb binding in that it’s a good choice for larger documents. The primary, and sometimes significant difference between comb and coil bindings is that spiral bound coil documents have the ability to lie completely flat regardless of their size and also allow for 360° rotation, making them ideal for use on workbooks or any situation where note-taking is likely to occur. Stylish, durable and strong, coil spines are available in an exceptionally wide range of colors to coordinate with the look of your project. Your projetc can be finshed with your choice of custom printed, plain and/or clear acetate covers
When it comes to creating professional projects, great printing is only part of the picture. Bindery includes a broad range of services including cutting, folding and stapling to name just a few. High Ridge Printing & Copy Center can provide you everything you need to finish your piece to perfection.
Virtually every job requires paper cutting at some point in the process. The bindery & finishing department at High Ridge Printing & Copy Center includes very sophisticated, commercial paper cutters. Computerized technology paired with high-pressure hydraulic clamps, that prevent paper shifting and razor-sharp carbon steel blades, allow us to achieve fast, precise cuts.
Folding is one of the most common requirements to complete a job and the High Ridge Printing & Copy Center bindery & finishing department has the capability of providing high-speed folding, where our equipment can fold thousands of sheets per hour at high speed, with various formatting options. When your project is unique and demands it, we also offer hand-folding options.
Collating is the term that describes the process of gathering individual sheets or elements of your project and assembling them into a completed final product. Depending on the requirements of your project, collating can often be done automatically on our equipment, but High Ridge Printing & Copy Center can also provide hand-collating when the job requires it.
HOLE PUNCHING / DRILLING
If you have just a handful of papers you need to put into a binder a basic three-hole punch tool will do the trick, but when it comes to punching hundreds or even thousands of sheets it’s time to rely on professional, commercial drills. We have the ability to drill holes of various sizes and in just about any position. Whether your project calls for standard three-hole drilling so that your document can be saved in a binder for future reference, or a single hole on a product tag we can handle it.
Perforating is the process of making a series of very small holes in a piece of paper or cardstock. Perforation makes it easier to remove coupons, reply cards, or to separate any given portion of your piece from the rest. The trained and knowledgeable staff at High Ridge Printing & Copy Center is happy to answer questions and help you decide when perforation is the right solution for your needs.
Often used on carbonless business forms, but also on items like raffle tickets, numbering is an inexpensive and effective way to help you maintain accurate records and/or control distribution of forms. We can number in ascending or descending order on most projects, and in your choice of red or black ink.
High Ridge Printing & Copy Center offers laminating on volume projects. Quality laminating prolongs the life of you piece, increasing durability, preserving color and protecting it from damage, making it an ideal solution for situations where your piece will be subject to repeated handling or exposed to varying conditions.
STAPLING / STICTHING
The terms stapling and stitching are often used interchangeably in the printing industry. Stapling generally refers to projects that require binding a relatively small number of pages together and is often done automatically on a copier. Stitching on the other hand is typically done on large, floor-mounted commercial equipment. It allows great flexibility, and is commonly used to bind multi-page catalogs, brochures, reports and programs.
In addition to offering the most common bindery & finishing services listed above High Ridge Printing & Copy Center has the capability of providing you with services like gluing, inserting, stamping, sealing, tying and packing. We welcome the opportunity to discuss any special or labor-intensive project needs you may have and help you decide the best approach.
